 2007 Event ArchiveIssaquah Food DriveOn August 7, 2007, members of Music Aid Northwest will voulunteer at the Legends of NW Rock concert in Issaquah, gathering food donations for the Issaquah food bank. Please drop off nonperishable food items at the entrances to the show.
MAN Vice President David Harris said, "Every time I pass the food bank building, I see young women with kids in tow, old folks and all races waiting there for the place to open in the morning and get their one sack of food. A sad situation in today's society, so I want to do my bit and at least help keep the bank filled." The mission of Music Aid Northwest is to provide funds for people in need by bringing business and community organizations together with the talent and resources of the Northwest music industry. Through our charitable efforts we will enhance and promote music awareness and performance throughout the region. The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank operates under the auspices of the Issaquah Valley Community Services (IVCS). Issaquah Valley Community Services is a non-profit agency that has overseen the development and operation of the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank since 1982. Other service programs include the Christmas Basket Program, Back-to-School Backpack Program, Toy Bank and Emergency Assistance. June Social EventWe are having a networking social function on Wednesday, June 20th at the Main Stage in Seattle (across from Key Arena, on First Avenue North). You don't need to be a musician, or even play one on TV. Renew old friendships and make new ones, and hear about the exciting events we are planning and learn how we can all make a difference in our great northwest!
More Music @ the MooreMore Music @ The Moore is a training and performance program for selected young artists representing diverse music genres. The program provides young artists training and rehearsal time with professional musicians; production and promotional support; recording experience; and the opportunity to perform live in concert at a professional venue, The Moore Theatre.
MAN board memebers were on hand to present a check to the Seattle Theater Group at the More Music @ The Moore event on March 2, 2007. MAN also presented a check for $1000 to the Seattle Seafair Pirates for their annual toy drive. Funds for both checks were generated by the 007 New Year's Eve Party.
